We are currently seeking an experienced, dependable, hardworking Purchasing Agent. The position will work with our Purchasing Manager and our Production and Warehouse Departments, with the end goal of improving our bottom line by offering exceptional products to our customers.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Chemical Industry experience preferred
  • 3+ years of Purchasing or related experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Capable of working successfully with co-workers and vendors
  • Able to work with multiple departments within the company
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Essential Job Tasks

  • Assist Purchasing Manager
  • Purchase order entry
  • Order raw materials and other supplies
  • Locate and research new vendors
  • Establish and maintain professional business relations with vendors
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels, and participate in bi-yearly inventory counts
  • Assist in tracking and resolving purchasing and inventory problems or discrepancies
  • Establish and maintain good communication and working relations with company personnel and management
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or approved by the Purchasing Manager

Salary: From $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday – Friday

Supplemental pay types: Bonus pay

Experience:

  • Procurement: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Purchasing: 3 years (Preferred)
